About Round Rock Senior Citizens Foundation |
 |
| Formed in 1991 as a local senior-age volunteer group under the guidance of Allen R. Baca, the primary objective of the Round Rock Senior Citizens Foundation is to continually assist in the funding of programs for seniors living in Williamson County. In February of 1992, the Foundation filed Articles of Incorporation with the State of Texas and qualified for 501(c)(3) non-profit status.
We actively sponsor many local programs and organizations, such as the Allen R. Baca Center for Senior & Community Activities, WBCO Meals on Wheels & More, and the WBCO Senior Nutrition Center program. The Foundation has worked to beautify Round Rock by encouraging businesses, government agencies, and neighbors to plant daffodils throughout the city. Through the efforts of Foundation members, the City of Round Rock became recognized as the Daffodil Capital of Texas by the 78th Legislature of the State of Texas, in May 2003. Our fund raising efforts consist of generous sponsors and donors, our annual Daffodil Festival, and sales of our Round Rock/Daffodil Capital of Texas tee shirts. You are invited to support senior programs in Williamson County by way of this foundation. Your support for certified non-profit organizations may be tax deductible. |
